Building Communities That Thrive.
In addition to the more intensive Canopy programs, CanopyEd also offers individualized online conversations for teachers and principals. These conversations are a combination of reflection, big-picture concepts, and concrete advice/examples. The conversations have three phases: 1) An online survey to learn more about the context of your school or classroom, 2) A 60-90 minute conversation through Skype/Zoom. When applicable, these conversations are immediately followed by resources relating to the topics discussed. 3) Two weeks after the initial conversation, a follow-up email is sent to gauge progress and field any questions related to the application of the ideas discussed.
These conversations are designed to raise new questions and spark new ways of thinking about education while also maintaining relevance and applicability. They are ideal for teachers looking to reimagine their classrooms to better support 21st century skills like; creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and communication; and for administrators interested in vision driven leadership, student agency and developing cultures of continuous improvement through teacher collaboration.
These 90 minutes are meant to nourish your reflections for years to come.
CanopyEd is currently developing a series of webinars on topics similar to the conversations above. The webinars will premiere in July 2018.
