Virtual Courses for Local Priorities: A Cohort Model

This network is a nine month cohort experience designed for forward-thinking leaders interested in utilizing virtual platforms to support local priorities. Participants from all types of education organizations are welcome.

Members will learn how to integrate research-based practices for virtual learning with insights from adult learning theory and cognitive science to create dynamic virtual courses for educators and families.

The network will also explore how the data provided by virtual platforms can open new possibilities for in-person experiences. Members will then use their organization’s unique context and priorities to design strategies for how virtual platforms can enhance their overall approach to professional development and family engagement.

Over the course of the year, Canopy Ed will help each team create and publish at least two virtual courses aligned to local priorities. Cohort members will then have the skills to create future courses on their own that can be hosted on the CanopyEd platform.
